The National Environmentally Sound Production Agriculture Laboratory is a unit of the University of Georgia's College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences located at the Tifton, Georgia campus. NESPAL was formed in 1991 to address the issues of maintaining efficient agricultural production and assuring consumers of a safe and affordable food and fiber supply while protecting our natural resources and the environment. Today, NESPAL has evolved into an interdisciplinary research and education effort aimed at building a better environment for agriculture and rural America. Our structure is a hybrid between the standard academic unit and the private sector partners we strive to help. Next to an on-site visit, the best way to learn about NESPAL is through our website.
